Okayest model in the quadrant
This model is pretty darn OK. Quality is a weak spot. The saucer section is where the metal is and because of that the model is very front-heavy and the rest feels a bit on the cheap and fragile side. Between the secondary hull and the long oval bit where the warp nacelle arms meet, there's a sizable gap. There's noticeably imperfect paint here and there. And due to the model's tiny size, there's lots of design details missing. The actual design from the movies is far more detailed (see the XL version). The underside of the saucer in particular is pretty spare.
That aside, it looks great with a bit of light on it, which is nicely picked up by the translucent blue plastic bits (except that deflector dish, which is pretty deeply ensconced). The warp nacelles on this copy aren't at all crooked (which others have complained about) and the saucer feels pretty good. Overall it's a good looking model of the very ship I always wanted to have. Great lines from just about any angle. (Not so with the Enterprise B, which in my opinion is a bastardized version of this elegant and still-futuristic design.) Just know that it's worth the $30 asking price and no more.
Delivery was perfect and both model and packaging were in good shape. Here's a boop on the nose for you, Waffles! Boops all 'round! Except the manufacturer.
